Greetings from India on occasion of Independence Day, 2014!

People prefer to buy things which come with something extra with maximum warranty, they prefer to buy things which are more durable, reliable and give best services for a long time.  Problems arise if the services from the product or service purchased are not as per their expectations. They quickly start complaining about it, expressing their discontent about it. They are ready to fight for it.  But if the same approach is used by Creator, almighty GOD towards them, they become more disobedient, ignoring towards GOD without realizing what lays ahead for them? Let us study from Holy bible i.e. lives of two brothers in the Old Testament and a husband wife in New Testament.

First from Old Testament two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of Jehovah, were there in ISRAEL. In the olden time, to be the priest of the living GOD was considered to be sacred, honourable and blessing for an individual. Eli’s sons enjoyed this position with grace of GOD by being born in the Priest’s house. Later on the scripture tells and the sons of Eli were sons of Belial. They did not know Jehovah. The word Belial means unbeliever towards living GOD, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. They made God’s people i.e. the believers to transgress or disobey. Later on judgement decree was appointed from living God on them.  If one man sins against another, the judge shall judge him. But if a man sins against Jehovah, who shall plead for him? But they did not listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah desired to kill them. Later on a Man of GOD visited Eli, and told And Jehovah, the God of Israel says, I said indeed, your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever. But now Jehovah says, be it far from me! For those who honour me I will honour, and those that think little of me shall be lightly regarded.  Later on both on them died on the same day as told by Lord GOD Jehovah when little Samuel saw vision. They lost their lives and glory of GOD simultaneously.  

Now from the New Testament, Ananias with Sapphira his wife, who had sold their possession? After JESUS CHRIST son of GOD being raised from the dead by Holy Spirit and had ascended to heaven. They kept back the part of their price and brought a certain part of it and lay before Apostles i.e. man of GOD. But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart for you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own authority? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God. And hearing these words, Ananias fell down and expired. And great fear came on all those who heard these things. And the younger ones arose, wound him up, and carrying him out, they buried him. And it was about the space of three hours afterward, when his wife (not knowing what was done) came in. And Peter answered her, Tell me whether you sold the land for so much? And she said, Yes, for so much. Then Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door and they will carry you out. Then at once she fell down at his feet and expired. And the younger ones found her dead, and, carrying her out, buried her beside her husband.

We can see some time available to sons of Eli. When judgement of living GOD is executed in the Old Testament, but after JESUS CHRIST visited earth to declare the will of GOD and ascended to heaven giving the HOLY SPIRIT to its people. We know what happened, immediate execution of judgement.

Remember but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God.
