Persecution and The Church

Posted on: 22-05-2015

Persecution is at doorsteps, every day we get to hear the news of Christians being persecuted. ISIS, Bokoharam, RSS and many more, the names change but cause is one Persecution of the believers. Did not Jesus himself say that, when they do not leave the green tree how much more they will do to the dry one and that you shall be hated of all men for my name sake; but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
This persecution is a sign that our Lord and King Jesus is returning soon. Jesus said in Matthew 10:18 “and you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the gentiles” and Revelations 12:11 says “And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.” Yes this is how the Church in these end days is giving a testimony unto the world and is overcoming the enemy. We believers have to undergo this fiery furnace so that the name of our Lord Jesus is exalted.  When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego denied to bow before the idol set by the king they were thrown in the fiery furnace that was heated seven times more, God saved them. By their act of faith they testified to the king that their God alone is the true God who alone has the power to give life or to take it away. They overcame the enemy by the word of their testimony and they loved their lives unto death; then King Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who has sent his angle, and saved his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the kings word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a Decree, that every people, nation, and language which speaks amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut into pieces, and there houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.”
“But he that endureth to the end shall be saved” May God give every believer the strength and faith to endure till the end, to testify to the kings, governors and gentiles, so that every knee bows in the name of Jesus and every tongue confesses that Jesus is the Lord." Amen and Amen.
