One Flesh

And they twin shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Mark 10:8-9 KJV)
This is the common verse used in Christian Marriage invitation card used by nearly every person. But why JESUS is emphasizing it? THE KEY TO THIS VERSE IS being described in FIRST BOOK OF GENESIS - And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Genesis 3:2-6 KJV)
From their old serpent tried to separate the Adam and Eve, and later on both of them with union of Almighty God. But God knew the plans and works of the Devil, so he established the judgment of disobediences to Adam, Eve and the Serpent. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15 KJV) Now let us ponder of what is fruit of tree (good and evil)? Jesus explained “Either makes the tree good, and his fruit good; or else makes the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. (Matthew 12:33-36 KJV)” So the bottom line is to be united in body of Christ with our partner because JESUS said: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word (Ephesians 5:25-26 KJV).
So we need to introspect ourselves whether we fulfill conditions laid by Christ or do we disqualify?
