DAY OF JEZREEL

Posted on: 09-07-2011

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. (Hosea 1:11 KJV). Now this is a wonderful prophecy applicable in every believer’s life. You must be thinking, how this is possible? Let us first examine why the bible is giving special importance to Jezreel. This all stated when a man called Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, which was desired by King Ahab king of Samaria. And Ahab spoke unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee. And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, why is thy spirit so sad? , that you eat no bread? And he said unto her, because I spoke unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Do you not now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise, and eat bread, and let your heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. And she wrote in the letters, saying, proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people: And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them. They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people. And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead. And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it. (1 Kings 21:2-16 KJV)So Lord God said Elijah the judgment message to be delivered Ahab which was further described Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pressed against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, And will make their house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin. And of Jezebel also spoke the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. Him that died of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that died in the field shall the fowls of the air eat. But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1 Kings 21:21-26 KJV) This is the same question which comes to us that when we enter in to the holy presence of God with faith and prayer, are we ready to speak what the spirit of Living Gd JESUS Christ tell us? Which the lord described “as And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers. (Jeremiah 51:21-23 KJV)”. This is the point when we become 100% sure that the Lord Jesus Christ has not only called us, but also chosen us to fulfill his will on the face of the earth. SO are we ready to say like Paul wrote in book of Romans And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (Romans 8:10-13 KJV)
Every believer face the day of JEZREEL in their life at some point, but the bottom line is we are ready to keep faith in JESUS CHRIST and confess like PAUL: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35 KJV) and reaffirmed our faith for I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 KJV) This is day of JEZREEL in our life when Devil becomes very real in our lives and by faith in word of God and with the presence of Holy Spirit in our lives, are we ready to save others, tell others, pray for others so that they can also be saved and become a warrior of JESUS so that the divine purpose of our life can be fulfilled? Then only the day of JEZREEL will be fulfilled as described in Hosea 1:11, KJV. I pray that Father, Son JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit helps us to achieve this day of JEZREEL in our lives in JESUS precious name.
Amen and Amen
