Passover is a very important celebration for Jews and Christians. It was given as an instruction to the Jews by Moses. One of the special aspects of the Passover is, Adonai Jehovah allowed unclean men to have Passover. This is given in book of Numbers chapter 9. It is important here is to understand that Old Testament foundations are completed in New Testament with lamb of GOD, i.e. Yeshua the Messiah.
He is the everlasting Passover lamb who takes away the sin of entire human race, provided they accept HIM as the personal savior. Another important aspect of the Passover is to consume unleavened (fresh) bread with bitter herbs. New Testament states; Yeshua said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35) The bitter herbs are the trials and temptations of life which we have to face and rely only on Yeshua the Messiah for deliverance. Human mind and thoughts cannot overcome the forces of darkness; it is a spiritual warfare which has been continuing since the creation of mankind. Another important aspect of Passover is twilight, i.e. evening neither day nor night, it is the time to put on your armour to stand in spiritual warfare as it is written; Put on the full armor of God, so that you are able to stand against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11). We have to finish the bread of life in the whole night, because in the morning i.e. second coming of Yeshua the Messiah, we would not need it. There is one caution while eating which has to be done by every believer living on the face of the earth, as it is written; For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.(1 Corinthians 11:26)
If we do not proclaim Yeshua the Messiah death and resurrection thorough our thoughts, actions and deeds we are liable for punishment from the most high GOD. Passover in activity to obey Yeshua the Messiah in our lives and judged by HIM. But when we are judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord Yeshua the Messiah so that we might not be condemned along with the world. (1 Corinthians 11:32)
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must examine himself, and then let him eat of the bread and drink from the cup. (1 Corinthians 11:27-28)
They were chanting with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea and everything in them, responding, “To the One seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power forever and ever!” (Revelation 5:12-13)
