Joshua was a mighty commander who took Israelites’ into the Promised Land. Moses could not have the privilege because of one act of disobedience; he was instructed not to pay attention on the murmuring of the Israelites and talk to Rock in the desert (i.e. Yeshua the Messiah) but he hit the rock with his staff. Almighty Adonai Elohim Jehovah got angry with this act of disobedience and as a result Moses who being referred as friend by Adonai Elohim Jehovah could not enter the Promised Land.
Under the guidance of Adonai Elohim Jehovah, Moses handed over the responsibility to Joshua. Lord Jehovah started to talk to Joshua after the death of Moses, servant of the Lord. There was anointing resting upon Joshua to fulfill the journey to Promised Land.
Joshua is known as “Yehoshua`” which means “Jehovah is Salvation i.e. Yeshua the Messiah”. It is written; And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you. And Joshua spoke unto the priests, saying, Take up the Ark of the Covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the Ark of the Covenant, and went before the people. And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. (Joshua 3:5-7)
As Israelites’ were following Joshua who will lead to promised land. Similarly we have to follow Yeshua the messiah the author and finisher of our faith. We have to be separated from the world, which means we are living in it as a traveler waiting for our final destination “The Promised Land” i.e. abode with Yeshua in Heaven. We have to follow the Ark of our Covenant i.e. Ruach ha Kadesh (Holy Spirit) which will make our crooked paths straight, protect us from deception and traps of Satan and his demonic network.
It is written in scriptures; “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you may also be. (John 14:1-3)”
