DAVID wrote the psalm under the guidance of Holy Spirit. Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the fool. (Psalms 39:8). In the above verse he emphasized his present state as a king. A challenging responsibility was given to him by living GOD i.e. to manage a kingdom of God’s chosen people. He is the same shepherd boy who protected his sheep, defeated and killed lion with bare hands, staff. Further under the anointing released upon David by Prophet Samuel, David defeated Goliath and became the king of Israel. He committed adultery and prayed to Living God Yeshua with repentance requesting do not take your Holy Spirit from me. He understood the relevance of Holy Spirit in his life.
He understood his pathetic state of his spirit and soul. He had become unclean due to adultery of sin while serving the Living GOD. He understood mixed state deceptively entered his soul making him partly righteousness and partly impure. David understood that the blessings will not remain in this state. Evil spirit will move continuously in soul and spirit of an Individual to corrupt totally by inviting more evil spirits to develop a habitat in that individual. Evil Spirit move in soul and spirit of an individual without a permission, they rob, torment and destroy the faith.
Most of believers think that the Holy Spirit does share unclean vessel. Holy Spirit does share to redeem the soul. King David was realizing his present state under the guidance of Holy Spirit that is why he was crying it to God? The bondage of SIN block the blessings of an individual, it becomes an invisible barrier.
The only way out is repentance in name of Lord Jesus Christ, our anointing. Lord Jesus Christ is the way, truth and the Life. He is the heavenly Manna given to us, it releases us from bondage of SIN and neutralizes its repercussions in our life by Christ’s precious blood shed for us.
Another important element is suffering is part of dealing in Christian spiritual warfare. King David understood very well that he was dealing not with himself but the habitat of unclean spirit trying to gain dominion in his life. Evil spirit was tormenting, harassing him day and night, it was stopping him to cry to God. They were compelling him to do things he did not like to do. He was enslaved by sin.
Lord Jesus Christ clearly stated the consequences: When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest, and finds none. Then he said, I will return into my house from where I came out. And when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and decorated. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and live there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so it also shall be to this evil generation. (Matthew 12:43-45)
Do not be timid but be courageous in the spiritual warfare. It is not battle but warfare which has to be won under the guidance of Holy Spirit. Cover your eyes, ears and mouth along with thought under the blood of Lord Jesus Christ. But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God. And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth. (John 1:12-14)
