PATIENCE IN SUFFERING
Posted on: 14-11-2019
Many Christian people today consider suffering as a thing of past, they do not consider it right in the present day. Christianity in in beginning is based of strong foundation of patience in long suffering, even till death. This was very common in early days even in case of thirteen disciples of Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Every one was tortured to death in case of refusal to deny their faith in Christ. So, what is our excuse today? When we face persecution, discrimination in the lives today, there is nothing to be surprised or be amazed. Indeed, it is a matter of great joy and pride for us, as we are segregated as being a follower of Lord Yeshua the messiah. Loved ones, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal taking place among you to test you—as though something strange were happening to you. Instead, rejoice insofar as you share in the sufferings of Messiah, so that at the revelation of His glory you may also rejoice and be glad. If you are insulted for the name of Messiah, you are fortunate, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (1 Peter 4:12-14)
Patience increases our faith, it makes us more stable and firmer, our understanding and companionship increases with our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Holy Spirit our companion, the spirit of truth, our friend, our comforter, our advocate in Christ produces prayers of faith which moves the mountains, separates the red sea. Apostle Paul clearly told us; Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God. (Hebrew 12:1-2)
Never get caught up in the deception that prayer does not bring result, it is other way round, Prayer always bring result in our life. Sometimes it is evident immediately, sometimes it becomes evident later. Both the cases highlight movement of one step closer to the will of Lord Yeshua the Messiah. No matter how much the enemy puts a deception in your thoughts do not be carried away, the living word of God is our double edged sword given in our mouths to demolish deception in our lives. Do not put your trust in princes—in man, in whom there is no salvation. His breath departs, he returns to his dust. In that very day his plans perish. Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in Adonai his God, (Psalms 146:3-5)
