DOUBLE MINDEDNESS

One of the common issues with mankind across the globe is to chose from options. The world is full of choices which makes it really difficult to decide what to chose and what to leave. It becomes significant when dealing with people because we want to extract the best out of them without revealing our best. So we often are in state of double mindedness. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded! (James 4:8) This double mindedness is not a new state of our mind, it has been prevalent since ages in human behaviour. In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were caught in sin due to double mindedness in their hearts. Let us meditate on the root cause of double mindedness in biblical perspective. Our creator who made us put his DNA in us subjected to follow him, but the evil one Satan introduced or rather infected us with his sin or cause of banishment called as Double Mindedness. Double mindedness leads to pride and the living word of God clearly states that “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Our doble mindedness is free gift to all of us from the evil one which can only be thrashed out by the blood of the lamb. Therefore, our submission to God through his son Yeshua the Messiah opens heavenly assistance to resist the evil one. Satan will flee on seeing the heavenly assistance, his legion will be trembling with fear, chaos will be the found in the enemy’s camp. Because our submission is not a simple one-day activity but a regular event which make us humble in sight of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Our submission fills us with grace of the Lord which renews our mind and heals us from infection of sin, leading to improvement day by day. Holy Spirit our mentor, constantly updates us, monitors our spiritual growth so that will of Lord Yeshua the Messiah is done in our life. We become carriers of glory of Lord Yeshua the Messiah, wherever we go or whatever we do. Remember: Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:10) Our mission of life on the earth is very simple and clear “I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.(2 Corinthians 2:13-17)” Yeshua the messiah is coming!
