UNCERTAIN

Today the entire globe is captured in deadly virus known as Covid-19. Most nations across the world have declared Lock down as precautionary measure to restrict the impact of disease in their nations. People are forced to stay at home, work from home and remain in the home only for some people it has become really nasty they are behaving like a fish who is thrown out of the water, for some they will just sleep, watch a news channel, be active on social media and so on. But for us who are believers in the body of Christ this is a time for preparation and purification. A warning bell or morning alarm bell has ranged for all he believers across the globe. The global pandemic is a clear message to wake from our deep sleep and become active to realign our relationship with living God through his son Lord Jesus Christ. If we ignore the alarm message, dangerous times lie ahead, as more perilous events are in line to happen across the globe which would be more than the current situation of crisis that we’re experiencing. The message is clear do not do the wrong thing at the wrong time due to fear of uncertainties of life, rather become certain about the future by knowing Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written; This also, knowing the time, that it is already time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand; therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in carousing and drinking; not in co-habitation and lustful acts; not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not take thought beforehand for the lusts of the flesh. (Romans 13:11-14) We have to humble ourselves before Lord Jesus Christ to come out of our pathetic situation in our lives. Let us look in the old testament who was declared as the man of Valor by the angel of God as mentioned in the book of Judges chapters 6 to 8. Gideon was called when he was threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from Midianites (Our present Fear). When angel of Lord spoke to him as man of valor? He simply replied my family is poor in Manasseh and I am the least in father’s house. His meekness and humbleness released grace of the Lord where further we read, he offered his food offering and angel of the Lord accepted it and spirit of the Lord guided him to destroy the Altar of Baal. Gideon was known as Jerubbaal and all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the sons of the east gathered in valley of Jezreel. When enemy camps, the spirit of living God i.e. Holy Spirit blew the horn of praise and worship preparing an altar of living sacrifice or ourselves at the feet of Living God. As done by Gideon he blew a ram’s horn and called the Abiezrites after him. Further Gideon ask for a sign of the Fleece by which he was assured for the presence of Lord God on his side. When he moved forward near the valley of Jezreel, the spirit of the living God i.e. Holy Spirit guided him to cut down the number of men who came just on emotions and feelings, they all were refused by Holy Spirit only those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth were 300 hundred men. They were finally selected under the guidance of the Holy Spirit because of their tiredness and weakness, as it is written in the word of God: And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. (2 Corinthians 12:9) Further the Holy Spirit guided him to take three things in the battle which are as provisions ( a pitcher and torches ) in their hands and their ram’s horn. Further Holy Spirit-given confirmation to Gideon by hearing what the enemy soldiers are discussing about a dream where they clearly mentioned his name and God delivering Midian and all the army, after hearing it with his own ears, Gideon worshipped the Living God and then proceeded with 300 men for the battle. Do we worship the living God like Gideon when he hear the confirmation of our faith through Holy Spirit being manifested or still wait for some more evidence? Further Gideon three hundred men into three companies do we focus on tri-union God for our battle, or we try to figure out on our own. Now they had only three things; an empty pitcher, a torch and a ram’s horn. The torch was kept inside the empty pitcher which was in their right hand and in their left hand was ram’s horn. To win the battle as done by Gideon we have to break our hollow pitchers and held the torches and blew the ram’s horn which means to empty yourself, crucify your flesh with its desires, it’s intentions and lust and deeds on the cross so that the flame of holy spirit may kindle you and you may glorify and worship the Lord by blowing the horn of praise. Remember It is written; There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against Jehovah. The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but safety is from Jehovah. (Proverbs 21:30-31) Lord Jesus Christ is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever. Amen! Yeshua ha Messiah is coming soon!!!
