Today
every human being is undergoing a struggle in this world, but sadly few of us
understand what we are struggling with. Holy Bible gives us a clear identity of
our enemy which is creating havoc to destroy and tarnish mankind from the face
of the earth. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities
and power and spiritual wickedness in high places. We are in spiritual warfare against a fallen angel known as Lucifer or Satan and his
legion. He is the father of Lies, deceiver, the originator of all evil, wickedness in the soul of mankind. Our soul which consists of Heart and Mind is the spiritual
battlefield where we are engaged in the constant struggle against Lucifer. His
weapon is SIN and which has brought disobedience and ultimately conceived into
death for Mankind. Any act small or mediocre it maybe is a sin if it goes
against the word of Living God i.e. Holy Bible and disapproves Adonai Yeshua as our
Messiah.
Let us
look into the book of Ezekiel, mentioned in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. Ezekiel means “strengthened
by God,” (flourished 6th century BC), known as prophet-priest of
ancient Israel. Before the first surrender of Jerusalem, Ezekiel was a functioning
priest probably attached to the Jerusalem Temple staff. He was among those
deported in 597 to Babylonia, where he was located at Tel-Abib on the Kebar
canal (near Nippur). It is evident that he was, among his fellow exiles, a
person of uncommon stature. Ezekiel’s religious call came in July 592 when he explains
in his book into
great detail about his encounter with God and four "living
creatures" with four faces (human, lion, ox, eagle) and wheels that stayed
beside the creatures. In his prophetic vision described in chapter 1: Wherever the Ruach wanted to go, they went, in the direction the Ruach
wanted to go. The wheels rose along with them, for the spirit of the living
creatures was in the wheels. (Ezekiel 1:20).
There lies a key for
us, the spirit moves into the direction of action taken by living creatures which are
filled with the glory of living God. Everything becomes so easy, so comfortable in
life as challenges still be approaching glory to God who does not remove
challenges but rather make a way in challenges. There is no struggle, no effort required
when we are in the presence of Living God.
But the question is
how to be in the presence of living God our Lord Yeshua Messiah. When we are
constantly engaged in our struggle against SIN, we get exhausted, tired, and
feel defeated on the battlefield. There is only one way to run back to Lord
Yeshua our Messiah, refuel yourself in the presence of the Living God. It is
the only way to stand up against the fallen angel and his legion in the battlefield.
David (which mean Beloved)
a shepherd boy, anointed by Prophet Samuel, who later killed the Philistine enemy champion
Goliath. After King Saul and Jonathan are killed in the battle, David is
anointed as king. His life is full of up and down, although anointed by living
God, he was entangled and wounded by SIN many times in his life.
Yet, He has written; Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in
God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God. (Psalms 43:5)
King David of Israel's
nation which comprises of God’s own chosen people is crying out in his struggle
against SIN. SO just think for a moment, what about you and me? We are no
different, the struggle against SIN is very REAL and therefore we require a spiritual
discipline of the Holy Spirit in our lives daily.
Remember we have not
earned GRACE, we don’t deserve GRACE, we have received the grace through Lord Yeshua
the Messiah. There is no other way, where we can find Yeshua the Salvation of
Mankind, the Redeemer of our lives. He is only found in the Holy Bible when we read
the word of God, daily even though you did not understand, it is your spiritual
nourishment and reviver.
Prophet Isaiah (means “God
is Salvation”), Israel of 8th Century BC wrote; For so says the Lord Jehovah, the
Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest you shall be saved; and in quietness
and hope shall be your strength. And you were not willing. (Isaiah 30:15). In our struggle
against SIN which is predominantly through lust of Flesh. Remember we are the
soldiers, our army general, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords Yeshua the Messiah
has defeated struggle against SIN, which brought DEATH. We have to wait for
directives given by the Holy Spirit in our struggling situation.
Resurrection of Lord
Yeshua the Messiah, is the victory of Mankind forever against the enemy. (Lord
Yeshua our Messiah) He wiped out the handwritten record of debts with the decrees against us,
which was hostile to us. He took it away by nailing it to the cross. After
disarming the principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them,
triumphing over them in the cross. (Colossians
2:14-15)
When we wait upon the
Lord Yeshua our Messiah, the voice of the Holy Spirit becomes audible in our lives. As Prophet Isaiah wrote “Your ears will hear a word behind you saying: “This
is the way, walk in it. When you turn to the right, or when you turn to the
left.” (Isaiah 30:21) This means waiting to receive
the Instruction from the Lord Yeshua is more important than using our own
limited knowledge, limited understanding.
Let us look what
happened when Darling of Heaven, Son of Most High God i.e. Adonai Yeshua the
Messiah prayed under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As written by Physician Luke
in the gospel: Now when all the people were
immersed, Yeshua also was immersed. And while He was praying, heaven was opened
and the Ruach ha-Kodesh came down upon Him in bodily form like a dove. And from
out of heaven came a voice, “You are My Son, whom I love—with You I am well
pleased!” (Luke
3:21-22)
There
was an immediate answer to the prayer of Lord Yeshua the Messiah. The only reason
was Obedience although
He was the son of God, yet he made himself nothing like a zero in sight of GOD
and became obedient until death. So, he became the center point of Heaven due to obedience.
Lord Yeshua is giving the same
invitation, are you ready to pay the price? Are you willing to be obedient until
death?
Now
obedience does not require proclamation through pomp and show to let people know,
we are sacrificing for Lord Yeshua our Messiah. Holy Spirit teaches us, guides us
to be gentle, humble, and meek in our lives as much as possible. Remember we
cannot be perfect with our deeds of righteousness, therefore God who is sovereign,
omniscient, omnipotent provided GRACE in advance through Lord Yeshua our Messiah.
John the fisherman
who wrote the gospel of John and the book of Revelation that we are witness of Kingdom
of Heaven on earth. “I can do
nothing on My own. Just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, for I do
not seek My own will, but the will of the One who sent Me.” (John 5:30). The carnality of Flesh is to be crucified daily on the
cross, to receive obedience through the Holy Spirit in Lord Yeshua our Messiah. Spiritual
discipline through the Holy Spirit is necessary daily for victory over the struggle against
SIN.
