BESEECH- CRY

Posted on: 25-08-2020

Shepherd boy David who was anointed by Prophet Samuel, who defeated Goliath and later became king of Israel.  David fought many battles to unite the all of Israel, he was an anointed worshiper of the Adonai Yeshua our Messiah. In one of his Psalm David, has given a precious faith-filled statement which is as follows: When I cry, then my enemies will be turned back. This I know, for God is with me. (Psalms 56:9)

What a powerful statement of faith? We can give this statement when our prayers are answered, and things are going well in our life. But can we say it, when the answer to prayer is not coming the way we expected it, or there is a delay in the solution? Then the situation becomes a tougher moment by moment, we struggle with faith in Adonai Yeshua the Messiah. This is where we have to learn a small secret of King David anointed worshipper of the Adonai Yeshua our Messiah.

Reading and Meditating, claiming the living word of God daily and at moments of conflict, Prayer should be talking to Lord Yeshua through supplication, with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known to God. As explained by Apostle Paul in his letter to Philippians chapter 4: 6-7. Let us understand by looking at two characters in the Holy Bible.

Matthew the former tax collector, mentions about the faith of Centurion in chapter 8. In his conversation, he beseeched Master Yeshua our Messiah to heal his paralyzed servant.  The request was granted by Lord Yeshua as mentioned For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” Now when Yeshua heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Amen, I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith! (Matthew 8:9-10).  The most important thing in this conversation of the Centurion is he was begging the Master; how do we approach do we beseech or just cry at the time of need?

Another character is called Jonah a bigoted Jew who was unwilling to testify to a Gentile City called Nineveh and angry that GOD had spared it. In the book of Jonah chapter 2, we can find Jonah’s Prayer. and he said, I cried to Jehovah from my distress. And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol, I cried for help, and You heard my voice. (Jonah 2:2) this is really a pathetic condition in the life of a person, caught up between life and death, where death is standing at the door to capture your soul. Still, despite the hopeless condition of a person, it is the love and grace of Lord Yeshua the Messiah, which can rescue provided we cry like Jonah.
So, decide today how we want to move ahead in our walk with Lord Yeshua our messiah? Whether to beseech like centurion or cry like Jonah? Think and decide today. Do not be ashamed to cry in your prayer to Adonai Yeshua.

BETTER BE LATE THAN NEVER.
