Malachi
is merely a transliteration of a Hebrew word meaning “my messenger.” The book of Malachi consists of four chapters.
It is the last book in the Old Testament. The first chapter of the book is an open
letter to his people i.e. descendants of Jacob known as Israelites. A letter of Love of GOD Adonai with an open
rebuke to his children, it goes further than my protection is going on with you
because I cannot deny my covenant, I will destroy your enemies. GOD Adonai is
angry with his people because the due Honour is missing. The Priest which come
from the tribe of Levi and House of Aaron despise my name by offering impurity at the altar of sacrifice in my temple.
As it is
written; You offer defiled bread upon My altar; and you say, In what way have we
defiled You? In your saying, The table of Jehovah, it is a thing to be despised.
And if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And if you offer the
lame and the sick, is it not evil? Bring it now to your governor. Will he
accept you, or lift up your face, says Jehovah of Hosts? And now entreat the
face of God, that He favour us. This has been by your hands, will He lift up
your faces, says Jehovah of Hosts? (Malachi 1:7-9)
There is
clear remark given in verse 10 of chapter 1: Adonai GOD will not be pleased
with such an offering from the priest of Israel. Never assume the wrong notion as
considered by Israelites in their lives: Adonai
GOD is not dependent upon us, instead, we are dependent upon him. ADONAI JEHOVAH
is GOD of gods and KING of kings, he is the supreme authority, the omnipotent,
omniscient, declaring the end from the beginning, from ancient time, what is
yet to come, saying, “My purpose will stand and I will accomplish all that I
please.”
Chapter
2 starts rebuking the Priests, clearly communicating them that if they listen,
they will receive blessings, and if they do not listen, they will be cursed on
their blessings. Adonai God is complaining to Priest for breaking the covenant
with Levi for Shalom and Life. The priest has corrupted the covenant of Levities by
showing partiality in Instruction. As it
is written: For the priest's lips
should guard knowledge, and they should seek the Law at his mouth; for he is
the messenger of Jehovah of Hosts. But you have turned out of the way; you have
caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,
says Jehovah of Hosts. Therefore I have also made you despised and low before
all the people, just as you have not kept My ways but are lifting up faces in
the law. (Malachi 2:7-9).
Next
things Malachi mentions is SIN of the house of Judah. Judah has profaned the
covenant. They have married the daughter of a foreign god. They have violated the covenant with their Hebrew wives. They have not guarded their spirits. Jewish
Men were leaving Hebrew wives and marrying pagan women.
Remember
Marriage is an Institution established by Adonai GOD himself in the Eden
Garden, is institution that is going to be manifested in the life of every
believer with becoming a part of Lord Yeshua Christ’s our Messiah’s bride as
mentioned in the book of Revelations. Remember as it is written; But you are a chosen generation, a royal the priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession so that you might speak of
the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
you who then were not a people, but now the people of God, those not pitied
then, but now pitied. (1 Peter 2:9-10)

major issues are highlighted in this chapter 2

TREACHERY

MARRYING IDOL
WORSHIPPERS PROFANES GOD’S HOLINESS
3.
ISRAELITES
ADVOCATING SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Chapter
3 describes three declarations first about the coming of Yeshua our Messiah
i.e. Love of GOD manifested through HIS only begotten Son as a baby in the manager
and then a second time as Lion of the tribe of Judah, as Lord and King on the earth.
Christ will Judge all the evildoers, none of them will be spared from the
coming judgment in his everlasting kingdom.
The second
is about robbing GOD in the matter of Tithe, it is Grace of GOD that
descendants of Jacob are not destroyed despite robbing GOD in the matter of
tithes and offerings. Adonai Lord is explaining the blessings which are
associated in rectifying the robbery of tithe and offering. As it is written: Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in
My house. And test Me now with this, says Jehovah of Hosts, to see if I will
not open the windows of Heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you until
there is not enough room. And I will rebuke your devourer, and he shall not
decay the fruit of your ground against you; nor shall your vine miscarry
against you in the field, says Jehovah of Hosts. And all nations shall call you
blessed; for you shall be a delightful land, says Jehovah of Hosts. (Malachi 3:10-12).
Third
about the Book of Remembrance. Adonai Lord has a record of all our
deeds whatever we do. Mankind often assumes that whatever we are doing is
correct, secondly, they think even if we do a little mistake it is ok when they
compare themselves with people who as per them are doing blunders. But they
often, Lord GOD Adonai will judge everyone according to his/her deeds. The difference between righteous and wicked will be declared on the basis of one
who serves GOD is righteous and one who does not serve GOD is Wicked.
Chapter
4 describes only one thing i.e. The Great Day of the Lord. The day of wrath,
the Day of Judgement is coming soon, no one in mankind can escape it. No
matter what amount of development, innovations mankind has done, it is all
waste and ruin.
Those
who fear the Lord, the son of Righteousness shall arise. As it is written; Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that
God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, one confesses unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10).
The lord
will magnificently reward the righteous i.e. those who fear the Lord, they shall
trample the wicked. But Lord who loves mankind very much is saying before
coming of that Judgement Day, I will send Elijah the prophet remember he was
carried on fire chariots in the clouds to heaven. Adonai Lord wants to save the
mankind from coming wrath because it is not from them, but for Satan and one third
fallen angels.
Adonai
Lord Jehovah Loves us, more than we can comprehend….
