Greetings to you in the matchless, powerful name of Lord Jesus Christ. I proclaim shalom over your life in the wonderful name of Lord Jesus Christ. We are in spiritual warfare as the Holy Bible describes from Genesis, Satan hates us, and always look out for an opportunity to blame us, defame us in the sight of the Lord. Satan deceptively made Adam and Eve commit sin of disobedience by eating forbidden fruit from tree of good and evil thereby leading banishment from the Eden Garden. We are in a constant struggle against SIN. We think our fellow colleague, relative, spouse, friend is acting as barrier, obstacle in our life. The other person who is made of flesh and blood is not our enemy. Holy Bible describes that our Enemy SATAN(Lucifer) and Luciferian army is at warfare against believer.
Let us meditate on incident recorded in Old Testament, 2 kings’ chapter 6 from verse 8 to verse 23. Prophet Elisha is regularly updated king of Israel from the coming threats and traps placed by King of Aram (Syria). The king of Aram gets baffled and confused so much that he summoned his officers and ask them who is betraying him? Then one of them replied: No, my lord Prophet Elisha knows whatever you speak in your bedroom. So, king of Aram inquired and came to know that Prophet Elisha is in Dothan. King of Aram send his horses, chariots to surround the city. Now when the attendant of Man of God had risen and saw an army, he was filled with fear and reported to Elisha.
Elisha Prayed to the Lord and servant eyes were open. He saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
When the Aramean army approached, Elisha prayed to the Lord, the army was struck with blinding light. Prophet further told “Follow me and I will lead you to the man whom you seek”
Upon arrival in Samaria, Elisha prayed to the Lord, Open the eyes these men, that they may see.
Apostle Paul explained in his epistle to church of Ephesians: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:11-12). Our enemy, Satan or Lucifer has well established satanic hierarchy as exposed by apostle Paul under the guidance of Holy Spirit in the above verse. Satanic kingdom has three level of hierarchy, first principalities and powers working against believers which we witness every day in our lives, rulers of darkness of this world as mentioned in Daniel chapter 10, Michael came to war against satanic ruler of Persia rescue the delayed messenger, third is spiritual wickedness in high places trying to block our prayers.
Prayer is the main weapon to destroy or demolish satanic hierarchy. As we see in incident of Prophet Elisha, he prayed in all the circumstances. Prayer is the Key, not a ritualistic prayer but tearing our hearts in the presence of the Lord. Heaven is available for our rescue; the King of Kings waits for answer the cry of our Heart. So, pray in all circumstances, that’s the key to lead a faithful life on our journey of earth.
