Believer’s Duty in Body of Christ

Posted on: 13-11-2020

When we say we are Christians i.e. do we have CHRIST in us? In our journey with Christ, we need to understand the basic philosophy of Christian Life. As it is written: And do not seek what you shall eat, nor what you shall drink, and stop being in anxiety. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you have need of these things. But rather seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:29-32)

In this time of COVID -19, pandemic everyone is worried or anxious about the daily supply of services. Worry is sister of Anxiety. Anxiety is a powerful weapon for carnal mind. To search for a remedy for worry even though partial, leads to boasting of self which is sin of Pride.  All these targets our faith in Lord Yeshua our Messiah.

Remember we are a traveler on this earth, our citizenship is of Heaven. The scripture describes that the Holy Spirit led Lord Jesus Christ into the wilderness. Where out of the three temptations, first temptation was regarding eating, And the Devil said to Him, if you are the Son of God, speak to this stone that it might become bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written that "Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone, But By Every Word Of God." (Luke 4:3-4).

Our Lord God Yeshua our Messiah has already experienced the temptation of hunger. As it is written: I have spoken these things to you so that you might have peace in Me. In the world, you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. (John 16:33). Trials, Temptations and Tribulations are our colleagues in our travel on the face of the earth. These colleagues cannot take anything from our travel, rather they increase our FAITH in our Lord Yeshua our Messiah as he has overcome the world for us.

Yeshua our Messiah is the only one who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. As it is written: But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. (John 14:26).  As the Holy Spirit starts to discipline you, the enemy starts to target your faith. Your mind becomes the battlefield. Holy Spirit will gently expose the plan of the enemy so that we can grow in the plan of GOD for our lives. We need to double our efforts to keep up the receiving the anointing and moving in that anointing. So that we can move in increased anointing, if we fail to do this, we may become like Samson the Mighty or King Saul of Israel.

The central theme of Christian Life is the Kingdom of GOD, to seek the kingdom of GOD we need to have a continuous flow of anointing, not an interrupted flow of anointing to pursue the central theme of our Christian Life. Anointing depends upon our relationship, our honesty, our repentance and submission on daily basis with our Living Yeshua the Messiah.

As it is written:  And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13). Belief is centered on faith whereas Faith is centered on trust. Lord Yeshua our Messiah, is the author and finisher of our faith as mentioned in Hebrews 12: 2.

This is a discipline-oriented gradual process with a warning, so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit. But that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him who is the Head, even Christ; (Ephesians 4:14-15)

Duty as a believer is based on Spiritual Discipline which is the key to FAITH. Spiritual Discipline is taught by Lord Yeshua our Messiah as it is written; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives." (Hebrews 12:6).

Yeshua our Messiah punishes and disciplines us, I personally had experienced, it is a very painful process as our flesh fights with our spirit through our mind. Our mind becomes a battlefield. For the mindset on Flesh is death, but the mindset on Spirit is life and peace. (Go through Romans 8 for detailed understanding). This will empty ourselves to fill us with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

This will lead to overflow of the anointing of the Holy spirit with fruits and gifts of Holy Spirit. Nowadays Christians are more concerned with gifts of the Holy Spirit which are mentioned in 1Corinthians 12: 27 & 28. Although gifts are required,  fruits of the Holy Spirit are also mandatory which are mentioned in Galatians 5:22.
The presence of gifts and fruits in a believer is an assurance of the Seal of Holy Spirit as mentioned in Ephesians 1:13.

Remember: Yeshua our Messiah is the King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Adonai Lord Yeshua our Messiah is coming Soon!
