The word in Hebrew means a
portion, dose, or ration. Let us understand MANNA in the old testament and the New
Testament of the Holy Bible and its relevance for a believer today. In the old testament, it is
mentioned, Israelites on their journey to the promised land Canaan from Egypt were
provided with Manna in the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai.
Manna was continuously provided to Israelites for 40 years of their journey
till they reached the borders of the land of Canaan as mentioned in Exodus
chapter 16.
How this name MANNA came?
As it is written: Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name of it Manna. And it was like coriander
seed, white. And the taste of it was like wafers with honey.
What is the Purpose of
Manna? As it is written: Exodus 16:4 Then Jehovah said to Moses,
Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out
and gather a certain amount every day, that I may test them, whether they will
walk in My Law or not. Manna was provided as a result
of a constant murmur by hungry Israelites in the wilderness of Sin. Further Israelites were unable to achieve the purpose of Manna, they fall
short.
But, our Awesome GOD
never gives up on us, as it is written; Isaiah 55:8 For My
thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways, says Jehovah.
His Agape is forever as
manifested through his son Lord Yeshua our Messiah. Lord Yeshua our Messiah did
many miracles like feeding the five thousand with five barley loaves and two
small fish, walking on the water, and so on.
Lord Yeshua our Messiah
said something awesome to describe MANNA as stated in the Gospel of John chapter 6:35 And Jesus said to
them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who
believes on Me shall never thirst.
Let us try to understand
this statement with the incident of “On the road to Emmaus” as mentioned
in Luke 24 from verses 13 to 35. Two men were going on their journey from
Jerusalem to Emmaus discussing what happened in Jerusalem i.e., incidents
of Lord Yeshua. When we read the entire
incident, we found that but their eyes were held so that they could
not know Him. Luke 24:16. This is a prophetic incident that takes place in almost every believer’s life.
Further, Lord Yeshua, our Messiah acted as if
HE was going further, the two persons constrained and invited Lord Yeshua to
stay with them, similarly, we have to invite Lord Yeshua so that HE can fulfill
HIS promise as mentioned in the book of Revelation 3:19-20 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore, be zealous and
repent. Behold, I stand at the
door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into
him and will dine with him and he with Me. The two persons represent
our soul and spirit.
Later, when they invited him,
HE took the bread, blessed, broke it, and gave it to them. Only then they saw the lord
Yeshua and said: “Didn’t our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us and
opened the scripture to us. RHEMA comes to the Respondents only
when you have lord Yeshua i.e., revelation knowledge, if we read the bible a
hundred times from Genesis to revelation, nothing will happen. But when lord
Yeshua opens our eyes to receive HIS revelation, a single verse will transform
our entire lives. Halleluiah!
There are times when we
are lacking RHEMA, it is due to our disobedience, remember our Lord Yeshua can
forgive us only when we confess our disobedience at HIS feet.
Apostle Paul gave explained
in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 from verses 17 to 29. Lord Yeshua is the MANNA from
Heaven, which has to be consumed as spiritual nourishment by every believer not
as a ritual but as an act of faith that brings blessings in our lives. This is
commonly known as Lord’s supper which is taken nowadays as a ritual rather than an act of faith. Do not be deceived by the scheme of our enemy Lucifer.
The revelation knowledge
is required to in end times hours to build us up. We have to pay a certain price to receive
revelation, Revelation knowledge demands your life itself. Every day our portion, ration, or piece (Heavenly MANNA) is
required to grow up in the body of Christ. Obedience is the key to receive the
Manna from Heaven i.e., Lord Yeshua our Messiah.
