SANCTIFICATION

Posted on: 08-01-2021

In the book of Genesis, the seventh day GOD ended his work which he has made and sanctified it. GOD explained end and sanctification with different incidents in the holy Bible. Let us try to understand the significance of sanctification in our life.
Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria. He was known as mighty, honorable man in his land. He suffered from Leprosy.  Syrians had gone out by companies and captured a little girl out of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. She said a statement which changed the life of Naaman and went to king of Israel then to house of Prophet Elisha.

Elisha instructed him by his messenger to Naaman, go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come to you, and you shall be clean.  Naaman obeyed reluctantly and received the healing. One important thing about him as recorded in Holy Bible, because by HIM lord had given victory to Syria in 2 kings 5:1.

Secondly, when we meditate upon consecration of Aron and his Sons in Leviticus chapter 8. Moses was explaining the commandments of Lord Jehovah, especially in verse 11 it is written: Sprinkle the anointed oil seven times on the altar and all its vessels and the basin and its stand, to consecrate them.  Aron and his sons could not remain obedient due to sin, as mentioned in Leviticus chapter 10, and received punishment from the Lord.

So, the commandment given by Lord Jehovah was completed by HIS son Lord Yeshua our Messiah by shedding sinless blood seven times for sanctification of entire mankind from beginning till the end, first at the Gethsemane Garden while praying, second at the preatrium, beard was snatched and slapped, thirdly crown of thorns on his head, fourth whipped by hunter on the back, flesh ripped apart by small metal and bone thorns in lashes of hunter, fifthly in both the hands nailed at the cross, sixth at both the legs nailed at the cross, seventh he was speared in the rib, blood and water gushed out immediately. He died for us sins so that we may live to righteousness.

As it is written in 1 Peter 2:7-9  Therefore to you who believe is the honour. But to those who are disobedient, He is the Stone which the builders rejected; this One came to be the Head of the corner,  (8)  and a Stone-of-stumbling and a Rock-of-offense to those disobeying, who stumble at the Word, to which they also were appointed.  (9)  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Sanctification it is sometimes called, is the effect of obedience to the Word of God in one’s life. It is the same as growing in the Lord (2 Peter 3:18) or spiritual maturity.

Adonai Lord Yeshua our Messiah is coming Soon!
