To understand the relevance of Prayer let us
meditate on the life of King David. He was always finding it difficult to manage a
big country Israel, as it was not an easy task. There were a lot of challenges,
struggles while managing a large country. Challenges become tougher when
there is rebellion, opposition against you from your own team. The team whom
you formed, you trusted, you relied they were always one. In such a situation
king David cried to the Lord Adonai as mentioned in Psalm 55. He always cried unto Adonai Lord,
for help. Adonai Lord was gracious upon him, rescued him from every challenge
he encountered in his life.
Psalms 55:17 “Evening and morning, and at
noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice”.
Rebellion and opposition are common challenges for
every Christian believer in this world. This is the time to cry out in your
prayer. Prayer is a communication of an individual with living GOD i.e., Lord
Yeshua the Messiah. From the beginning of the day to the end of the day, Prayer should
be a regular part of our daily life. As king David mentions from evening to
morning and at noon because the Jewish Calendar Date begins from nightfall to
nightfall. It is like this till today, in Jewish Calendar.
Dear saints in the body of Christ, we have to
follow prayerful life in every situation, whether good, neutral or worse.
Prayer should not be a ritual or like a tradition but rather a lifestyle as it
was witnessed in King David’s life.
When lord Yeshua the Messiah was talking about
prayerful life in Matthew 6 from verse 5 onwards. He warned us that we should not be Hypocrites.
Hypocrite means a person who acts in a way that goes against what he or she
claims to believe or feel. Lord Yeshua our Messiah is described in verse 6 of the same chapter that when you pray, enter in your room, shut your door, pray to
your Father in secret and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you
openly.
My dear brothers and sisters in the body of
Christ, learn the secret of prayer life as explained by Apostle Paul to people
of Philippi, the first city of European soil mentioned in his letter Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be
made known to God”.
Wait for the move of living GOD in your life, wait
upon HIM as it kills our flesh especially the self. The self needs to be crucified
daily on the cross to bring reward from our father. Lord Yeshua our Messiah
lived a prayerful life and sacrificed himself so that we may receive the reward
of eternal life through HIM.
Are you ready to embrace prayer in your daily
life? My dear waiting is the crucifixion of self. We all have a weakness which is
evident in challenging situations, we need help. Our help is available to us
through Lord Yeshua our Messiah who promised “I will not leave you as orphans but I will come to
you” (Promise of Holy Spirit
mentioned in John Chapter 14)
Holy Spirit helps us to pray in our infirmities as
it is written in Romans 8:26 “Likewise
the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray
for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Prayer is the key to our spiritual growth.
Adonai Lord Yeshua our
Messiah is coming soon!
