The title sounds strange
but our Miraculous Lord Yeshua is capable of everything. This incident is
recorded in the book of Judges chapter 15. Samson a might anointed Judge of the
Israel is having conflict, and tension which appears to be reaching its climax
in this chapter. Today we will meditate under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and
will try to understand important acts of GOD performed upon Samson.
Due to ongoing quarrel
between Samson and Philistines, they came up and camped up at place called Lehi
in Judah. They came in thousands to arrest Samson. The men of Judah knowing the
purpose of their visit went to the cleft of rock of Etam and brought him down
on one promise that we will not kill you, but will bind you with two new ropes
and hand over to Philistines. When he
came to Lehi, and the Philistines shouted against him. And spirit of Jehovah
came mightily upon him, and cords became as flax that has been burned with
fire. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, killed thousands of men. Later he
became thirsty and called upon Lord Jehovah, Lord opened a hollow place and
water came out there. And he drank and his spirit came again and he revived.
Two new cords bought to
tie up samson by men of Judah i.e., his own people. The two cords represent rituals
and traditions. Rituals are acts performed or observed in social setup on occasions,
events. Such as different kinds of offerings in the temple by priests on
various Jewish occasions. Traditions covers wide variety of things and concept handed
down by one generation to another. Like the tradition of Passover which marks the
exodus of children of Israel from Egyptian Slavery.
Further at Lehi i.e., which
represents our mind which is the place of battle field of our lives.
Philistines the Enemy means
demonic force of Satan attacks us, at that moment spirit of living Yeshua comes
mightily upon us full filling Not by power, not by Might but by My Spirit, says
the Lord of Hosts (Zechariah 4:6). This a moment of our obedience and
submission to the Lord Yeshua. Lord Yeshua comes to us in hi spirit i.e., Holy
Spirit. Submission like Samson makes the movement of Holy Spirit in our lives
thereby making us to stand in this battle field of mind.
Ass represents us, our soul
as it is mentioned in Job 11:12 “For
foolish man would be wise, and man is born a wild ass's colt.” Our soul longs for freedom from this captivity
as mentioned by Job 39:5 Who has sent out the wild ass
free? Or who has loosed the bands of the wild ass?
The answer is lord Yeshua
only as it is written in the Gospel of Luke 19:30-31
saying, go into the village across from you, and having entered, you
will find a colt tied up, on which no one of men has yet sat. Untie it and
bring it. (31) And if anyone asks you, Why are you untying it?
You will say this to him, Because the Lord has need of it.
Why the Lord Yeshua has
the need of the colt? The answer is given in Hebrews 13:15
By Him, then, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is,
the fruit of our lips, confessing His name.
When we do this in our
life, the philistines attacking us are slayed by the jawbone of the colt thereby
victory in the battle. But we require fresh water of life to be revied and regain
strength in our spirit.
Lord Yeshua is the water
of life as mentioned in revelation 22: 12.
