DEFINE YOURSELF IN CHRIST

Posted on: 04-03-2021

The world has significantly developed and constantly developing with infinite things.  Every moment, every day, and every year constantly new things are added around us. One of the wisest king Solomon declares in his book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 1: verse 14 I have seen all the deeds done under the sun; and behold, all is meaningless and chasing after the wind.

Our world has infinite things we need some reference points to move ahead. Reference points become our values that we believe and hold in our lives. The problem comes when these reference points become unstable and a state of illusion is created, which instigates relativism in our thoughts.

Relativism is the idea that points of view have no absolute truth or validity. They only have relative, subjective value according to viewpoint and circumstances. No distinction between good and evil.

We need reference points that are flawless in our journey of life. The only solution is the living word of God as written by Psalmist in chapter12 verse 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Living word of GOD is an eternal flawless reference point for our journey of life.

The living word of GOD is defined in the gospel of John chapter 1 verse1: In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Word of GOD i.e., Lord Yeshua Messiah is an eternal reference point to move ahead in our life.

Keeping living word of God as a reference point brings a new heart into our being.

Further, the love of the cross develops through the holy spirit in our being. As apostle Paul has written in his first letter to Corinthian’s church chapter 9 verse 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

We have to constantly bring our own body into subjection, Colossians 3:5 Therefore, put to death what is earthly in you—sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed—for that is idolatry.

Remember always as it is written in Galatians 5:24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Keep your understanding, your knowledge, your wisdom secondary always in your life as it is written; Colossians 3:17 And everything, whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.
