VESSELS

And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king. (Esther 1:7) king Ahasuerus, who organized a feast to show his glorious possessions. But our Lord JESUS tells us about different vessels to make wine as mentioned in “And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus said unto them; Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2: 6&7). Later we read in this chapter, that they got converted into wine when they were served in feast of Bridegroom. The reason why JESUS used such type of vessels was revealed to Paul by Holy Spirit though he was not witness to first miracle of Jesus Christ “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, which the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” (2Corint. 4:7) Paul has also explained about this earlier vividly in “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwell in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (1 Corint.3: 16&17). The living water is given by JESUS CHRIST as explained by John “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drink of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4: 13&14)
So we need to think whether we are earthen vessels of GOD? OR diverse vessels from one another?
Remember that “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2: 7)
